I've seen a video of the milk jug test. It was far more impressive than the .22mag

I haven't bought one yet. Waiting for the prices to come down on the semis. Way too expensive for what you get now. In another year or so they'll be affordable.

They drop about 60% less than the 22mag because they are so light. That makes then really accurate further out than the 22mag.

a friend of mine has one,its a new england ,although i havent shot it yet my brother in law did and he loves it!! he plans on ordering one himself. he said on the metal spinning targets he has it made a deeper ding than his 22 mag and was gave more consistant tight groups too!! but i wouldnt try any long shots on a windy day could be a waste of ammo! lol

I have heard nothing but good things about the 17 HRM. It is very fast and accurate. Several friends have handguns and rifles. I had a chance to buy a contender barrel pretty cheap in 17HRM, but I have a .223 to handle things, also a 22 match barrel. In my opinion, it would seem anything beyond 100yds the wind would make it almost uncontrollable.
As another possibility, there is planned a superfast 22 magnum to be on the market soon. I was told the manufacturer but can't recall. The wind bucking charactistics should be better due to projectle weight.
