Your most welcome Dale, I am glad you liked that. We have so many beautiful places to go and see and are so lucky to have the freedoms to enjoy our way of life. You also, should be thanked for the years you dedicated of being a peace officer, so I will do that now Dale and say a big thank-you to you for protecting and serving all of us.God Bless Miss S. and get those splinters out OK! :assult:
As, you all know I am the daughter of a Law Enforcement Icon, so I know what a sacrifice you *1 and others make every time you strap on your guns and leave home. You are the pillars the foundation of this great society which makes the difference between us and every other nation is this world. Nobody really knows what it is like out there on the streets, unless you have been... there you fight a war everynight and see the worst of the worst...I wrote a tribute once and will see if I can find it...for you. :assult:
Boy Wes....I might just take you up on that....never seen Colorado....but I want my breath taken away.....so I think that's the place.
I lived in Alaska but I was so young that I only remember it through pictures......
Yep Yep....Liss and I have given the San Antonio grand tour to GG members twice now.......had great times both times.....more visitors scheduled for the summer BTW......but maybe it's time we hit the road ouselves and saw something new......and Vegas...gotta see Vegas....Liss has an Aunt and an Uncle there and has been a couple of times herself....
Miss S.......thanks for your words.......heck....I wasn't fishin' for compliments, but I'll take em!

When white man found this land, Indians were running it.
No Taxes...
No Debt...
Plenty Buffalo...
Plenty beaver!
Women did most of the work.
Medicine Man free!
Indian men hunted and fished all the time!
White man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that.
"The constitutions of most of our States assert that all power is inherent in the people; that... it is their right and duty to be at all times armed." --Thomas Jefferson to John Cartwright, 1824.
Including my military I spent all of my working life as a public servant and I would never go back and change any of that.
Now, in retirement, I feel an emptiness that's hard to explain. Yes, I miss the adrenaline rush....the ability to do SOME good.
Some say 'go do some volunteer work' but I've seen people who run the volunteer groups and most of them are too headstrong for recognition for this stuborn fool to put up with.
Now, the limelight is gone for me but I leave it, respectfully, for *1 and the others who put their lives on the line each day so that this world is a little safer place for the rest of us. And, I won't forget the others that serve our nation....military and support.
But, your thanks means more to me than you might realize. But, being from a law enforcement home perhaps you do realize more than most.
Thanks, again.
