Hadn't thought about adopting anyone...but maybe that's the solution. Someone to lift steel safes, fix boat motors, work on roof repairs, hold up one side of my car while l change tires, and more. That'd be great! In exchange, I might share some of my wife's delicious meals, let you hold some of my guns, sniff of my Hoppes #9 gun cleaning cologne, eat some of my home grown tomatoes, go fishing with me, and more.
I'm looking for wardward to more negotiating on this subject.
My family had our traditional Thanksgiving day get together feast with a delicious meal yesterday at one of our daughters house in Liberty, MO.
Today our two daughters, and our three grandkids came to our home to help my wife put up the traditional Christmas decorations.
I was gonna put up outdoor lighting...but instead went to Roger's Sporting Goods Store and bought a few "Black Friday" Christmas gifts for some of my family.
Paul...You and Mrs Paul are enjoying our grandkids. No doubt you'll enjoy being with them as they grow up. Grandparenting is one of the best things about getting older. My wife and I are lucky in that way, too.
Fortunately, as a very young kid my grandparents were always a part of my life...and remained so throughout my years before I became an adult. One of my life goals was to be as good of a grandparent as they were. I hope that is how I'm remembered.
So...those special days when your family comes around or vice/versa...enjoy it to the fullest. Time goes too fast!
