Thumbs up New toy comming soon!!!!

:assult: :assult: :assult: :assult: :assult:

2 weeks ago, for my birthday, I came across a Brand New (NIB) AR 15 Colt M4 Flattop Carbine with the A2 handle and sights.

As you may think, I laid down right then and there the down payment for this magnificent Firearm!!!!

I've been doing partial payments and only have $200.00 to go!!!

The paperwork for this gun is allready done so it's waiting for me to lay down the last payment, a NICS call, and it can give company to my other guns in the safe rack!!!

Any sugestion on how to make the breakin?

Any modifications that should be done?

After this month mortgage payment, guess what the next payment will be.

Sounds good. Clean it and shoot it and give us a range report.

Man I can tell you the first thing I'd do to the friggin thing: the pneumatic recoil spring mod. I shot my first AR a few weeks ago and I was absolutely horrified at the noises it made every time I pulled the trigger. It sounded like it was made by Hasbro, not Bushmaster!! How can AR shooters handle that amazingly anoying "SPROING!" every time they pull the trigger?!?!?

One thing ive noticed about modern m16 derivatives like the ar is the trigger pull, they seem very heavy to me, I like a nice light short pull, you think that thing clatters Bert listen to an Ak, they sound like junior beating an old can with a hammer

well for the spring noise, what we used to do is lube the recoil spring housing wall with some nickel anti-seize. worked great. as for the break in,id run a hundred rounds of moly coated bullets thru before any other bullets. after that run whatever ya want down the pipe!

The handle with the A2 rear sight is removable with the turn of 2 knobs, then you have a flattop with a Picatinny rail!!!

It's a nice feature 'cause you can have both things in one rifle!!!

Can't hardly wait to get it in my hands!!!

Here's a picture downloaded from the net, mine has a diferent muzzle brake and the front sling swivel is on the side, not below the handguard.

I'll post pics as soon as I get my hands on it!!

Notice the knobs on the handle

Although mine is not a Colt it could be a twin of your rifle.
Mandy thanks for the pics.
