Just got a letter back from Mr. Barr. He says he will continue to harass Mr. Bush about this nonsense.

It's really sorta funny- not a single one of the rifles affected by the "assault weapons" ban is an assault weapon. They are all simply semi-automatic rifles that use detachable hi-cap magazines.
