Playing cards turned sideways and shooting em in half is another fun challenge with a .22...

if ya have the range, set up a 200yard keyhole shot. set up a pierce of plywood with a one half inch wide two inch tall rectangular hole cut in it,set ur firing position 20 feet behind it and an 8 inch target 200 yards down range, hit the target by firing thru the rectangle hole without touching the sides.... makes for a real fun afternoon

Some friends and I are trying to come up with some ideas for .22 golf.
The basics are steels at 10-25-50-100-150 yards.
An easy par 3 would be scoped at 50,iron at 25,and pistol at 10.
Par 4 would be scoped at 100 and 50,iron at 25 and pistol at 10.
Par 5 would be scoped at 150 + a par 4.
Variations would have you using iron sights at 100 or pistol at 25 and 1/4 size targets to go for hole in 1 or birdies.

Now that's an intriguing idea. Set up a bunch of targets at various distances, one being "the hole" and whatever target you hit, you move to where that target is and go for the next one. You don't have to go in order, you can try for the hole in one or skip some. I like this idea.
