| Had a big Memorial Day range shoot this weekend. A good friend of mine has his class II license and it was full auto day. He also owns 20+ acres not far from my house and invited other full auto and semi auto owners from a discussion board for sub guns that he frequents to come out also. All total we had about 20+ people show up with several coming from Atlanta. On the full auto side we had Uzi’s, Mac-10s, and several M-16 version rifles. Semi auto was numerous also, G-3s, SKS, and 9mm, I brought along the AK and put several hundred rounds through her. This one was smaller than the last big shoot he had (which unfortunately I missed) at that one there was a grease gun and a Thompson. We used to shoot outdoors but one of his neighbors (who is a gun owner & hunts!) called the police on 3 different occasions to complain that someone was firing “illegal machine guns.” All of the local police know his guns are legal, (they sometimes use his range) what’s funny is when they call him to let him know they received a complaint they always ask what he is shooting and if it’s something new they come out so they can shoot. For this shoot he had done an excellent job converting an old chicken house on his property into an indoor range complete with steel baffles, and crushed gravel backstop. All in all it was a really fun time for everyone and a good opportunity to share and enjoy some range time. When I got into work and somebody asked how my weekend was I told them I had a blast, I got a good chuckle out of that one.

| Sounds like a great time. We have our local machinegun shoots at the farm owned by the Assistant Police Chief next county over. He's a great guy, and has just put in a new 300 yard range. Our only condition is: make sure the cows aren't behind the berm when we shoot! A little tip - careful shooting cowpatties at close range! Our local Class II always has some neat toys, and makes his own suppressors to a unique design - very efficient. A bit out of my price range at the moment.
