Luger 1914

need some info on a Luger Model 1914 9mm.
made in 1917, 8 inch barrel. Artillery model (possibly Navy issue). made by DWM. serial #8864. comes in a wooden box. SS Death head on outside right lower corner of Lid. German Eagle on the inside. comes with a oil bottle. the iron sites has a little pitting on it. Gun in 99% condition. NO import markings!

1) is this a re-furbish gun?
2) was an 8in Luger issued to the SS?
3) is the box authentic or reproduction?
4) what is this gun worth?

dealer asking $3000

i dont know anything about Lugers, but this gun looks like an interesting investment.

i think the box might not be real. but at $3000. i would want some independent verification of its true worth.

>1) is this a re-furbish gun?
Insufficient info to offer an opinion

>2) was an 8in Luger issued to the SS?
No.

>3) is the box authentic or reproduction?
Neither. It is not authentic and there never were any such boxes. In short, it's a complete fake of something that never existed.

>4) what is this gun worth?
Depending on condition, between about $500 - $1200

Hope this helps spome!

Warm regards,

Kyrie
