Compact scope question??

Are their any disadvantages to useing a compact scope over a regular size scope? What are some good compact scopes??

what do you mean by compact, the larger the outer objective the wider the field of view. so the larger the o.o. the better also more light gathering. too long of a tube will also limit the f.o.v.
Leupold works nice no matter what.

With scopes - and just about anything else - the fewer bells and whistles the better at the lower end of the price scale. So unless you're buying a high-end scope like a Leupold, you're likely to get better value for your money with a standard scope.

Compact scopes cut weight and size. Lighter, less bulky. Usually not variable or with an adjustable objective. Where you hunting?? Timber or open ground?? Compacts are best for timber.
