Thumbs up Double AND Nothing

Double AND Nothing

In the movie, “War Games,” the computer, after some time playing global nuclear war, comes to the conclusion that nuclear war is a "strange game, the only way to win is not to play."

The computer would likely reach the same conclusion about modern lawsuit games.

Throop, Pennsylvania, won a lawsuit against Gould Electronics, Inc over a lead-contaminated site. Gould agreed to settle the lawsuit for $400,000. The law firm representing Throop is now charging Throop $800,000 in legal fees. The shocked council has branded the outcome a disgrace but says they have no legal recourse; they have to take the $400,000 additional loss.

These attorneys are not laughing all the way to the bank. They are doubled over with laughter all the way to the bank.
