once a man said "the best slaves are those who think their free" well may not be exact wording but it is true! and i dont believe we are truely free. if we deside not to pay taxes we are either arrested or we will have our property taken. so bottom line we are not free to live our lives the way we want, we have to do what we are told when we are told . its really getting more like that movie "the matrix" every day.

Ahhhh wisdom from Janis deader than a door nail Joplin. I think we started out as a free people but over the last 80 years or so we really have been watching the erosion of our freedoms. From the War on drugs to the War on Guns one by one the federal goverment at the beck and call of the intrest groups has taken our liberties in the name of our saftey. Benjamin Franklin put it best when he said a people who would trade there freedom for saftey deserve neither. We have watched even more rights disapear with the War on Terror. Until people start to realize that all these wars are really Wars on personal freedom and liberty we will continue on this downward slide towards a socialist republic. I cannot help to see the parrells in the United States to what happened to ancient Rome. Just as with Rome the US will not be destroyed because of a force from without but will instead rot from within.

jus like da limo window tint on da cars dey say we can't have it but da cops have it on dere personal car's.an dey have should
half to play by the rulls jus lik us right. i got dat limo tint all da way around ma jeep windows may no body gonna see inside ma car .like it or not

dey take and dey take lettle by little. da only ones dat are free are da one's dat are 6 feet unda da ground already
but give dem time i bet dey will find away to tax da living famaly of da dead fo property taxes on da grave sites.

Free? We may have more freedom than some places in this world,but we are loosing them more and more rapidly,beware of homeland security,kind of like an emergency in which the gummint can do as it wishes,forget the Constitutuion,get those rights while you can. Hitler would be proud,and Osama is laughing,man,he kicked our tails more than we will ever know!

Any and all forms of government take freedom away. From a tribal chief to the president of a superpower...Most religions take freedom away, some more than others. Every rule and regulation made by governments and religions take our freedom away.
