History test
Ok. Time to dust off the cobwebs. The following is the state of Texas' standardized, eighth grade history (Social Studies) exam.
How well can you do on the first try.
My score was 47/48.

But I did it anyway. Got 41/48.
Not too shabby for a Canuck, eh?

Let me suck down a few beers before I take the test. Alcohol opens up the old file cabinets and removes the cobwebs.

47/48. Missed one of the economics questions. I do note, however, that this test felt more like a 4th grade test than an 8th grade test to me. Have the standards for teaching American history slipped that far? Or did I just go through a really superior public school system?

I went thru the 8th grade in 1966, and got 44/48. I reckon that's pretty good for an old guy afflicted with CMS. I don't know why, but I missed one from each section. I guess because I can remember most, but not all of the stuff in my past! LOL!

That was fun, but I'm disappointed with my score 36/48, also it appears I had a "No Answer" on one of the questions.

Well, we are pretty knowledgable about our history, which I kind of expected, knowing the people who are members. I can't wait to see how Bro Bob does after quenching his thirst! LOL!

46/48. Not bad for an old geezer who hasn't seen 8th grade for 45 years.

Same as you, 46/48. 8th grade for me was 1968!

I wonder how our present-day history teachers would score.
