Welcome to Mobile! I live in the Semmes area of west Mobile. There are only a few ranges that you can shoot rifles around here. 1 in Coden, called "The Gunport", 1 east of Mobile just off I-10 exit 54 Wilcox Rd called "Styx River Shooting Center", 1 on Hwy 98 west, just 1 mile into Mississippi. I forget the name of it. And last but not least, the free range at the "Upper Delta Management Area" just north of Stocton on Hwy 59. I hunt the Management Area and shoot at the range there. There are a few 'Private' ranges around that are used by gun clubs, which I have no knowledge about. I hope this helps and again, Welcome to Mobile!!
Maybe we can get together for a FTF and a shoot sometime.

Sure, just give me a bit to get acclimated down here. It still feels hotter than Hades to me. But I lived down here before for two years so I know you get somewhat used to it.

Stix River is it as far as a public range goes in south Baldwin County. The range over in Miss. near Pasgagula is the 1000yd. place where they shoot the Barrets/50BMG's and about anything else you can think of.
I went with the Pascagoula Shooting Club. Closer than the range I was going to in Illinois, and they go further than the 100 yards I was limited to up there.

It also qualified my to finally get off my butt and get that CMP Garand. Which I did just before they raised their prices this year!
A belated Welcome to Mobile Gandog. I have found out that the range over in Lucedale MS, has a 200 and 400 yd lane, but you have to be a member to use them. Non-members have use of the 100yd lanes and pistol lanes. Also the range down in Coden Has a 400yd range, but they have some strange rules.

Just paid the fee for the year to the Pascagoula Shooting Club. Been out there once so far and had a good time. When the sun started dipping though, the mosquitos came out and I had no repellant. You can bet there is a can in my range bag now!

best range close by is www.pascagouladcm.com at the ala/miss border off franklin creek road. 1,000 yard range with berms also at 200 and 50 yards. covered shooting areas, bathrooms, and only $100 a year to join. full auto stuff is allowed!!!
