Cool I love me some Cabela's!

Went to Cabela's in Dundee, MI. Went to the counter and asked the guy how much for the 500 round packs of 7.62x39? The guy said $49.00 and you get a free ammo can every 500 you buy. Went on back to get some and the stock guys were marking them even lower at $44.00 for 500! He said no more free ammo cans so we marked it down even more! I thought "awesome!", so I grabbed 1,500 rounds. THEN the guy says "Wait, when you buy 1,000 rounds we mark it down even farther to $74.00 for 1,000...would have been $88.00! They ROCK! Had $45.00 worth of points on my Cabela's charge card and got my wife black hills gold earrings for her birthday for free! Got me some heavy duty socks (6 pairs) a big bottle of Hoppes, and some silicon sacks for storing my guns...total was $169.00 :assult:

I hope this WOLF ammo is fairly accurate, was looking for Silver Bear, but Wolf is all they got. Silver Bear is supposed to be more accurate then Wolf.

Will they send out a catalog for free? Heck I'd even pay for it. Good bathroom material! I'd never come out. I've ordered three rod and reels from them....various lures and string etc....never had a catalog that didn't get left at my house by somebody!

Joe, Wolf is fairly decent ammo. It's as good as any mass produced military ammo. Silver Bear is better but, hey, you got a great, great price on the Wolf. I have tons of the Wolf I'd use in my SKSs without hesitation. To get a great load you'd almost have to hand load.

The only Wolf I've had a complaint with is the copper cased 7.62 X54R for the Mosin. They expand so in mine that it's hard to open the bolts at times.

Enjoy....^5 bro.

I am only familiar with Norinco steel core. Never had a problem with it. At the time 1500 rds. for $104.00. Steel core cannot be imported anymore but it's still out there.
Well Joe you got a good start on ammo hoarding.

The shop is in Gerry NY, about two miles off RT 86. off I90.
we do alot of C&R by order but don't stock much, most of it is tradeins.
I have a 1938 mauser 32 acp handgun (mint) its on consignment so I can't do much about the price $400
and I have a 1903 us army 38 revolver in its original holster, the cylinder was swaped so all the numbers don't match but it looks good for its age. can't remember what we are asking for that.
sorry no web site that boss is anti computer ( even more of an old grump than me)
he just about flipped when acu-sport told him he would have to go on-line to get our costs and if it was in stock or not.
the computer he is running is a pentium II with 64 megs of memery if that tells you anything. He thinks its fast. the old one we had (last year) was still running dos only.
