If you move to another state?

STRICTLY HYPOTHETICAL HERE!!!!!!!!

If a man got a job transfer to another state......HYPOTHETICAL.....and the state wasn't gun friendly....like PRK....New Jermany......New Dork......and many others.....would he have to leave his guns behind?

Would he HAVE to? I suppose legally he would. But WOULD he? I'd turn down the job first because yep, my collection would follow me. Hypothetically of course! But once there, what would you do with them? Sure couldnt show up at a range with an "evil" assault rifle especially with that dangerous bayonet attached!

Thats a good question but all I have is a single shot .22 with no bayonet, silencer or flash suppressor.

that all depends on the state, here in "new dork" you would have to get a ny pistol permit ( or badge # if a police job transfer) and have all the handguns shipped through a ny dealer and than put on a ny pistol permit ( if a police transfer just bring them with you in locked cases they will be on your badge # not a permit and your good to go) there are no restrictions on long guns or shot guns as far as bringing them in from another state here in "New Dork".

None taken Matt.
I was kinda agreein with you, New Dork has been peein in my cornflakes for a while now.
Ny is the only one I know of totaly right now cause I deal if firearms here and have done several transfers lately from folks movin here (why I couldn't tell ya) I have done alot of police and national guard transfers lately too.
my budys son was sent to guard a missle plant in new jermany last year, they just moved him up to ft drum a few weeks ago, while in new jermany he bougt a berreta 9mm like the one he was issued ( I almost slapped him 9mm he knows better than that) anyway I had a new jermany dealer ship it up to me and i did the paper work on it so he could get it on his NY permit all in all a pain but better than leavin it sellin it or bringin it here and getting caught with it.
