| Lake Powell Boat Trip Just got back from a houseboat trip. We put 15 guys on 2 60' houseboats for 4 days. We rented 2 ski boats, skis, and tubes also. It was a spectacualar trip. Here's a few pics. Last edited by Lenny2; 08-15-2003 at 01:41 PM. |

| Super Moderator ![]() ![]() | Lenny 2: Great pictures! My puter is a little slow but I took the time to boot up each shot. Reminds me of 7mmag6's pictures to a degree. Bet the water was fairly warm. Looks like your group had a great time. The schenic views make up for the lack of trees that we have here at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Nice looking boat. Guess it functioned ok or you would have commented. Did you empty all the bottles? And what was the flyswatter around your ring finger representing? Bet you found a way to retaliate the next night. Thanks for sharing those pictures with us. You're tempting me into considering vacationing there, too, someday. Ox:nod:

| Senior Member ![]() | THE PICTURES LOOKED LIKE WATERCOLORS Great pictures Lenny, looks like you guys had a great time, I want to go with you 7mmag6 on that houseboat...that is neat..I love stuff like that..Lake Powell is so beautiful....it looks alot cleaner than Lake Mead, the water level is so low .....I grew up on that lake and my happiest memories with my dad are watersking and parasailing, and camping out....I think it is still beautiful...but the water is not pure and clean like it was...and that is a shame... | Senior Member | That can be arranged if you dont mind the heat, the water level is lower than ive ever seen it at powell, we used to cut through padre from the marina, but now we have to use the narrows, a real hassle, the drought only seems to get worse, you can teach me how to slalom

| yeah the water is way down. they say its going down 3 1/2 inches per day! but the water in the main channel is still over a hundred feet deep, and 600 in some places. It won't dry up, but its not what it used to be. And those narrows are hell in a 18ft powerboat. constant 4-6 ft swell...coming from all directions. |
