Ya, that's because you are always calling the nursing home where I work to ask them what brand they recommend!

i just don't understand people.please bare with me i don't write very well and i need to vent.

i was heading home today and between Port Aurthur and bridge city there is the rainbow bridge.it is a old narrow bridge about 200 feet tall.
a guy caring a backpack was hitchhiking. i felt bad so i picked him up

the smell you wouldn't believe but i sucked it up and went on i asked him where he was heading he said east
i told him i could drop him off on I 10 if he wanted.

just to start a conversation i asked what he had in th backpack he turned and looked me right in the eye and said none of your f*&%in business
it took me a few seconds to process what he said. finally i told him either tell me what in the pack or get out
again he said none of your f***in business
i just locked the truck up in the middle of the road and put him out
as he was reaching for the bag i floored it leaving him kicking and cussing in the middle of the road

you try to do something nice and and you get cussed

Rule of thumb.

My ride, my rules.
NO EXCEPTIONS!

# 1 Back packs go in the bed of the truck. Or if smelly both hitch hiker & bag.
# 2 NO swearing, RAP music, hands always in plain view.
# 3 I reserve the right to whup your azz, or toss you out like the trash.

If I have a hitch hiker in the cab of my truck.
I can guarantee, I will also have a pistol under my left thigh.

I don't pick up "hitchhikers" anymore. Yes, if a motorist is in trouble I will gladly stop to help...give them a ride to somewhere, let them use my phone, offer them food, blankets and shelter. BUT I will NOT pick up an obvious hitch hiker. I lived too close to the border for too long to trust the lowly hitch hiker. Too many bad things can come of it.

OK, that sounded harsh. I just had too many car jackings happen to people I know and one less than a block away from where I used to live. They acted like a hitch hiker and when the driver stopped to let them in, two other guys rushed up from the other side of the road. All they took was the car but it could have been very ugly. I don't pick up hitch hikers. period.

I used to pick up hitchers, but always put my revolver in my lap as they climbed into the vehicle. They would usually do one of three things,

1. Ignore it.
2. Ask me if I felt threatened.
3. Climb right back out of the vehicle.

In any case, I always felt more secure, letting them know that they wouldn't get my vehicle without a fight.

The other thing I always used was room deodorant! I picked up a hitcher one time, and had to pull over and tell her to get out before I threw up! Must have been allergic to soap or water! My eyes didn't clear up for fifty miles, and it took that long to air the vehicle out in the dead of winter! I felt bad, but not bad enough to risk puking into the heater vents!
