Aw, some of the stupid (now we think it was but not then) things we did as kids it is a wonder we survived and never got arrested.

Ya got that right, my friend!!!! I think back at some of the things I did when I was a kid and I shudder at what could have happened if we had been caught! OR decided not to look the other way with nothing more than a stern warning! "I'm gonna look this way for 5 minutes!" "When I turn around if you are still here I am going to arrest you!" Needless to say....I was LONG gone before he turned around!

Shoot, we never got a warning because the cops could never get close to us! Usually this was because we lived out in the country and the deputy sheriff's was never around much.

I do remember the time I was caught hanging from a street sign along Route 30 by a voice that said "Why are you hanging from that sign at 2:30 in the morning?". Turned out it was a guy who had a flat tire and needed help. I told him if he helped me get the sign down I'd help him change his tire. He just walked away.

So how can you all be so excited about the 2nd Amendment to the Federal Constitution, and not also embrace the 1st Amendment as well?

Is it just because you cannot bear to hear the truth, that you cannot endure the 1st Amendment as well (freedom of speech, in case you have never heard of it)?

For example --

- Varmint hunting unless done by land owners themselves who have valid varmit control issues is nothing more than a school for psychopaths to kill animals; these psychopaths sometimes go on to become serial killers in society and kill humans.

- The Republican party for all its lip service to the 2nd Amendment and gun rights is poised and ready to kill Social Security, which is going to impact many of you retireds more than taking away your guns would.

- John McCain was a war hero and beloved of the USA and the favorite in the 2008 elections, right up to the time he proved his incompetency and (a) first chose Palin the Lunatic to be his running mate and (b) pronounced the US economy to be "fundamentally sound" just weeks before Jewish Wall Street collapsed completely based on speculation and irresponsible risk.

But you don't care about the 1st Amendment do you, because you can't stand the truth, can you?

Chris, call off your Okie dog from dogging me. In a battle of wits he is witless.

And I am the one who defended your Constitutional rights, not him.

Although all the other stuff is incredibly refutable, I'm just going to respond to this one ^.
Even *IF* Social Security got cut this very day, the way it's set up (if you care to actually do some real research) is that it wouldn't affect those drawing it right now at all. The system is set up and funds are marked in a way that will only start to affect the 40somethings when we start retiring.
I'm so sick and tired of people trying to scare all the retirees into voting "socialism" by threatening their means of living when the fact is; Ain't. Gonna. Happen.
Look into it yourself.

grizcty you have to over look him. Californication is where pelosi and finstien come from.
I'm tellin ya Californication use to be a beatiful state. But that was way back in the 60's and 70's and into the middle 80's. Then something happened, the people started thinkin real stupid. And now you got what you got.

I lived in a small city out there where the Mayor proposed a law stating that you could not cut down a tree more than 6 inches in diameter. Did not matter if the treee was 6.5 inches and it was going into your sewer line or starting to raise the foundation on your house you could not cut the tree down. Fine of 1000 bucks for the first tree cut down.

Then they started passing laws that if you had a fireplace you could not burn wood in it. It had to be a gas fireplace.

And everyone turned libs. Then it was time for me to get the HELL outta there.

Whoops - too late! Didn't see the "banned" label.

Oh well, never mind! Back to the "who hijacked this thread" topic.
