Guys, I doubt I will ever totally leave. But dont expect me to be here the way I am now, I have lots of forum family here and feel you are all my friends. To be honest I am closer to some of you than most of my family. God bless you all and merry christmas!

bummer. I know how even though I try to not let someone get under my skin, they still do and I simmer and sometimes I boil over too (mea culpa). I don't take too well to obtuse and irrational. Fortunately a stern look from a mod (like Tom, thank you sir) and I adjust my attitude. But that's member to member. If you have problems other than that maybe a sabbatical is in order. But I hope to see you again.

Bob

338Rum I don't mean to bring up bad stuff but remember that guy kype? I thougt everything was cool just casual talk then the deal about FDR came up. I felt like I was lamb basted by this guy. All because I did not agree with his views on obummer and FDR. Then he started raggin on everyone else and it all went from there. Well I could have taken my happy little butt and never returned. But stuck it out and watched and read what was going on. Then I guess Chirs banned him or something (don't really know, no one said anything). But things worked out.

I myself have had to be calmed down in my verbage. I sure hope that I am doing better now. So far no complaints (crossing fingers and knocking on wood). As for me I enjoy reading the political stuff and have found a new funny and at times serious issues in the powder keg. And since I have been on this forum (which I do not normally get on forums except facebook rairly to keep up with grandkids, and still have an account with myspace) I have learned a lot, and am learning more as time goes by. I love 22's and am learning that I can upgrade my 10/22, and do some playing with my Marlins (which I have never done anything like that). I am learning more about Mossin's and SKS's and so forth.

I have read your post and have not had a complaint with them or anyone here. I enjoy reading what people have to say and thier oppinions. One thing is foresure and that is we can agree to disagree. More than most of the time I agree with what the other members have to say. We are all concerned with what is happening to America and the direction that it is going.

I also enjoy hearing from those members who have served our country, and hearing what they have to say and thier oppinions. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but this ol dog is learning alot.

BTW I noticed post about peoples typing and spelling. Yeah I have problems with spelling. Like I learned in school sound it out. And I do not put the right dit or dash or this )(*(& and that '";:/.,? in the right places. But who cares, We all know what each other is say and the point the members are trying to make. Bottom line we are all here to have fun. I have had more fun here than on facebook that's foresure.

Hope you decide to stay.
Mark

BTW#2 I do not usually put my name down on any forum I am or have been on. It takes a lot for anyone to get to know my name.

Hey buddy,

From one trucker, to another.
You ever get up to Alaska, give me a holler.
I can tell you, where every good cup of coffee is.
From Tok, Fairbanks, to Homer!
Keep that truck between the ditches, and have a great Christmas!

I don't know exactly what this particualr deal is about.

But understand not everyone including gun owners or hunters are gonna agree on everything all of the time. Be it politcs, society, history, or what side of the toast to butter.
Sometimes what we type may not be understood like we intend and sometimes we read things the wrong way.
When we get real frustrated sometimes it's just better to take a deep breath and back away from the key board when it gets to a certain point and agree to disagree.

Well I know the reasoning but will not expound on it. What I will say is that as this is a privately owned forum the owner has the right to do with it what the owner wishes. If you feel that you must leave that's your prerogative but the running of the forum is up to the owner and whoever he appoints to do so. My discussion leader status is not the reason for my reply just that if Chris wants to divulge the reasoning he can otherwise it's nobodies problem.

Sorry to hear you're leaving. I've always enjoyed your posts.. Just take a break from the forum, check it out without posting, and go on your merry way. I almost didn't want to open the thread but I'm glad I did.Keep in touch, and God speed. In my opinion, you're always welcomed back.

When I saw the header, my heart went up in my throat a bit, thinking perhaps another member had passed on. While I am relieved it is not the case, I am bummed to see you are troubled by what someone has said here.
I hope to see you back here and wish you and yours a great Christmas!

P.S. At least it isn't Glock Talk..

Sometimes I get too worked up over the chit of a forum. This is the first forum I have ever joined and got DANGED close to a lot of you guys and gals. Ya, like a family, we squabble, snivel, bitch, cuss and the like. That is just human nature. And sometimes we DO need to take a step back and remember the real reasons we came here in the first place...to talk about guns, learn about guns, learn about life and support each other! That is not always pretty.

What I Found through this forum is that if I am "not understanding" a member....I PM them and in a non threatening way ask them what they meant. Not to confront in any way but to understand. What notoriously happens more times than not I make one heck of a good friend! I learn the man behind the typing. (Or woman for that matter) I seek to understand the spirit. MOST of the time that works out in wonderful ways. Some don't respond or ignore my message. Well, they are showing themselves with that lack of action. But, Like Paper said....life is too short to let the petty BS keep us upset for long!

I gotta admit....there are others like those finks Paper, Ninja Piper and LHS that are beyond understanding!

Sometimes I think I should put myself on my ignore list!!

Take a break, do different things, to do what you want.
Sorry you had problems, but maybe some time will heal them.
But you know, every time you pick up your guns ... we'll be here.

Are forums a "cash cow"? The term backstabbing, as I'm familiar with, goes with two things; women and money. That's as far as my powers of deductive reasoning will let me go. Maybe there's some censorship going on??? I've had one thread deleted but I didn't have to ask why. Maybe there's more cat poo in the sand box...I dunno.

There sure is a lot of Facebook crap going on around here!?
