There have been so many dumb things said here I don't even now where to start. I guess I will just sum things up from the begining again. Why did we care about the middle east? Well for one thing yah there is a buttload of oil over there. We need oil even if we all got little hybid pieces of **** that got 70 miles to the gallon and explored and drilled our land to death we would still need there oil. Without it we would suffer a total economic collapse. So yes what happens there does affect us in the most basic of ways. Next up why did we go to Iraq? Well after 9/11 and after wompin on the Talaban we uncovered documents that indicated they were seeking significant amount of Chemical, Biological, and Nuclear materilials for even more dreaded weapons and devastating attacks. Well who did we know that had those weapons, used em before, hated us and refused to disarm............................. Thats right Saddam Insanes Iraq. We had all seen what the wait till they attack us approach that Clinton cherished so much got us(9/11) so Bush and company wisely decided thats enough of that shite. Iraq was allready in violation of numerous U.N. Resolutions regarding his weapons. All we did was ask the UN to enforce there resolutions. At anytime during those months leading up to the War if Saddam would have said hey you win here they are destroy em or showed us that they were destroyed and let as many inspectors in as needed to verify that there would have been no war. He didn't, he clearly had something to hide, something we could not afford to let slip into the hands of terroists. We have found numerous peices of evedence supporting that there was infact a weapons program still functioning in Iraq. We have found mobile labs, artilery shells equiped to deliver wmd, uranium pureification equipment, samples of nerve agents, traces of mustard gas and sarin in the Tigris River. Than there were all those bio/chem warsuits we found as we overan Iraqi lines why were those there? All these things get ignored by the mainstream press because of there hatred for GWB and the GOP. They are on a obvious mission to discredit him anyway possible so no I don't waste my time listening to or watching liars. I watch Fox News and get my internet news form World Net Daily. There are way more informative than anything CBS, NBC, ABC or CNN puts out there. As for the blackout do you have any proof I mean any, a shred of proof that would suggest that it was a terroist attack? I am unaware of any such evedence. I'm still not sorry about calling you a nimrod either. Your comment about the blackout is still retarded. Last time I checked there are plenty of big cities in the south to. While a blackout in Winter wouldn't be so bad in Atlanta or New Orleans I bet one in the midddle of summer would really suck. You like to taunt me and rile me with statements like that and than through your hands up when I fire back. I got the inference that since I was a northerner I would be screwed since were all just helpless city folk. You can claim otherwise but I think your full of crap anyways so I don't really care. Your shot at me about siging up for the military was just as juvinile. I have a wife who I am obligated to and who didn't enter her marriage with me with the expectations that the military was in my future. If I was single when 9/11 happened I think there is a very good chance I would be in uniform right now. If things get bad enough that we need a draft thats a diferent situation until that happens I know my priorities and responsibilities. You can hide behind your disability and throw stones all you want but thats what your doing hiding. As for your ideas of closing off the border. You really think that we could build a 6 foot fence all the way along the 2000 some odd mile long border with Mexico and the 4000 some odd mile long border with Canada and man it sufficently year round? And you think the war with Iraq is expensive yikes man now that would be expensive. Not to mention it leaves out all the coastal land of the US. I mean wouldn't be to hard to take a boat in either would it? The best weapons we have against another 9/11 is good intel, good security at likely targets, good law enforcement and a good counter offensive in there backyard. In closing I have repeatedly looked up and posted articles and stats to back me up on all of my arguments. With the occasional exception of Lenny I have yet to see anyone else who is critical of my stances be able to do the same. All I get is abunch of rederick. No stats, no numbers, nuthin just abunch of armchair generalin. I have done my darndest to be restrained Tommy but after your last few comments I'm done tryin. Someone may wanna lock this thread before things get real ugly because if you think I have been mean and rude in the past you ain't seen nuthin!
