I hope somebody can help my curiousty.A buddy gave me about 400rds of some 7.62(30.06).I have never seen these type before.On the bottom of the round it says,at the top 4-54.I assume it is the month/year it was made.At the 3 o'clock position it looks like the letter or roman numeral "I". At 6 o'clock it shows "7.62".At 9 o'clock "S" on top of "F". There are 20rds. in a white box with a brown paper rap around it that says,"20 cartridges....BALL....-30..M2.There is no NATO markings at all.I hope somebody can help me find out what or where they are about.THANKS:-)
