I cant imagin a Cop pulling over a car and not legaly being alowed to know if the person is a ax murder, American Citizen (or illeagl)....guess there gona have to do a felony stop on everyone....this is so freaking stupid....Ill bet $$ to donuts that the next group of terrorist that hit us...in the remains we will learn that they all had Valid Calf. The state Assembly is poised to pass a bill that would allow illegal immigrants to obtain California driver's licenses.

While they're at it, perhaps Assembly members can vote to erect signs at state borders and airports that say: "Welcome, criminals."

SB60, as passed by the state Senate, prohibits the Department of Motor Vehicles from checking to see if California's newest drivers were ever convicted of murder or other violent crimes. SB60 also would make it illegal for the DMV to share fingerprints with American law enforcement agencies -- unless there's a warrant for a specific individual for a specific offense.

Yep basicly Charles MAnson could get a drivers Lic....1* pulls him over...no criminal record available (not allowed there 1*) so 1* walks up thinking Manson is a regular law abideing person on his way home from church....not a good thing. #2.if someone has a state issued DL is he a legal imagrint or not?????? state issued DL would serve as proper ID to get other documents....also if jose quarvo has a DL and no records are accessable how could you tell IF he was a US citizen...or imagrent who leagaly enter this country (or camel jokey Mohomad for that matter)...no records alllowed to be given out.....so the cop gives old mohamad a speeding ticket on the way to nuke NY (cant search without probable cause...legal driver rember)... I would not want to be in that situation.

Just to play the Devil's Advo...: What if the person stopped has been in jail for..whatever, served thier time and is a good person now; should the gummit, law enforcement ( I hate that word-courts enforce our laws not cops!) or anyone else be privy to that information? It seems to me, if they are looking for someone, a suspect in a crime, they have no problem. Why should they be informed about a person's past if that person has commited no other crimes? Just curios....
