Concealed Carry Law passes in Missouri

Within 30 days Missourians will be able to apply for permits to carry concealed weapons. This bill has finalized the overriding process of Governor Holden (D) who had vetoed the bill.

Some of the conditions included in the new CC law are:

-Pay up to $100 for a three year permit.
-Not allowed a permit if you've been convicted of two DWI's in the past five years.
-Must be 21 yrs of age.
-Must complete a gun usage course satisfactorly.
-Can't carry in several public places, including schools, sporting arena's, churches, courthouses and several others. Some of these are possible for you to carry there "if" you have permission from that entity.
-Anyone over 21 can carry a concealed weapon "without" a permit in their vehicle.
And several others.

I'm cleaning out my glove compartment to make room for my gun. Before, we could only carry if it was in plain sight.:nod:

I think you're absolutely right in your prediction. "In the Closet" gun supporters will come forward looking for the right gun to carry, where to take gun related classes, where ranges are located, and where to enroll in self defense classes.

The gun related information business will be booming for sure in Missouri now that CCW has passed and will at last be come state law in one month. Can't wait myself. I'm ready now.

a recip agreement is an agreement to honor other states permits. in trade for them honoring yours, since Mo touches TN we are hoping to pick it up as a state and I then can carry in 24

Shaun: On Wednesday of this week, I had in my hands for the first time an AK47 which was on sale over at Cabelas. It was priced at around $485 but it looked really beat up.

That would be a little hard to conceal

so I'm considering something a little more suttle like a 38 snub nose or someting similar. Plus, I'm considering what to put in my glove compartment of my vehicle.:assult: :nod:

And also, Shaun, nothing I've read in paper this morning about this gun law passing indicated anything about a 'recip" agreement. Of course, that doesn't exclude one from occuring.

The StLouis post dispach says people from other states with cc laws can carry in Mo, starting when I don't know.

Hey, Oxford you hear anything about when or where you can take the required class to obtain a Mo ccl. Nobody around here, even the local sherriff seems to know!
