i broke down twice.
but they were both easy fixes.
THATS why i go on all these reliability runs. i also found a red lettered CRAMPS sticker for the back of the hotrod.
i have wanted one for this car and planned on putting one on almost as soon as i started the build.
this sounds totally juvenile but.
they are my fave band! (swoon)

on both ends of the trip i have buddies with trailers.
if i had a serious breakdown they would save my hash

i did the easy stuff
wire it
install heater
bondo
paint
rebuild carb
drain and replace tranny filter/fluid
install glass
etc

i just drove it from farmington to belen nm
about 230 miles.
it ran great but hitting a dip or pothole at 80 mph does spooky things to a suicide front end....

That's quite a trip for any kind of homebuilt hotrod, so you're doin' good! Them potholes are put there for that very reason, to keep hotrodders from having too much fun.
