What did ya wanna be when ya grew up?

When I was a kid I always thought I would work for NOAA or the USGS. I was always interested in the weather and geology. How'd I become a cop?

What did ya think you would be when you grew up (if you admit that you have in fact grown up)? And are ya doing it now? If ya wanna say....... 1*

I wanted to be a vet and a helicopter pilot.
well I'm a vet but not the animal doctor type, and do my flying on the highway, so much for high goals, now I'm a plumber, and you thought you had a shity job.

I wanted to run an extremely lucrative multi-facility establishishment including the following:
A restaurant serving river fish operating on power harnessed from a free fitness center with machines hooked up to generators.
A dart shooting gallery featuring live crows and grackles.
A mock town of humanoid rodents built out of adobe.

I wanted to be a cowboy or a fireman.
I got to be a cowboy for a little while it was terrible
I also wanted to be a biker
I get to do that and it is pretty cool.
I also wanted to be a Astronout
No way on that one.
Anybody can do anything they want to
they just gotta want it bad enough.
the only exception is people with disabilitys
a blind guy cannot be an astronout but he can help those that can

I always wanted to be a meterologist, or archeologist, oops got drafted, i spent my youth killing people, also I found I was dam good at it, I see every one every night in my dreams, how would you like to live with that

Several options were thought about such as...

A cowboy
A race driver
A pimp (where did that thought come from?

Someone independent...lost that when I got married.
Someone who could travel around the world.

Well...#3 would have been more fun but realism took it's course and I became an educator.

I wanted to be a Navy combat pilot. I saw Top Gun 7 times at the theater...
In high school a recruiter told me I'd be too tall to be a combat pilot because the equipment is one size fits all, and I wasn't the one size. :-(

Too much mutal of Omaha wild kingdom tv...I wanted to be a "Zoo Oligist"....got a degree in "Sociology" and with my spellign thats pretty close......Always thought it would be cool to travle the world and study animals.
