Newest way to rob stores? Hot coffee of course

Thats it we need to "Ban the Bean"....Hot coffee=crime...ban coffee now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Coffee is the cause of crime...a gate way drug leading to anphedamines and then Crack!!!!!!

Hot Coffee Was Calling Card

KENT COUNTY -- They didn't use a gun or knife to hold up their victims. They used hot cofffee.

Two suspects are in the Kent County Correctional Facility on charges of strong-armed robbery. The two men are accused of holding up four gas stations in the Grand Rapids area within two hours Saturday morning.

The Dairy Mart on West River Drive was hit at 5:17 a.m. The Marathon at the East Beltline and Three Mile Road was held up at 5:58. The suspects then moved on to the Amoco on Plainfield Ave. at 6:04. Finally, the Marathon at Alpine Ave. and Four Mile Road was held up at 7:36 a.m.

The crime worked the same at each gas station. One of the men would go in and throw coffee at the store clerk. He got away with cash at least twice.

A clerk at the Marathon on the Beltline had to go to the hospital after being hit with hot coffee.

Police eventually tracked down the alleged vehicle used in the crime spree after witnesses at the Marathon on Alpine gave a vehicle description. They picked up the suspects at Old Orchard Apartments.

The men are expected to be arraigned on Monday.

Could be the perfect crime - the store clerks mop up the spilled coffee, and voila! The "weapon" evidence has been
disposed of.

Have to limit those "Assault Coffee Mugs" that hold more than ten ounces! Limit coffee purchase to one cup a month.

What's even funnier is that after it was on the news a guy wen t in and they were out of coffee so the clerk brewed a fresh pot. Then when it was ready he threw it in the guys face and robbed him.

You all heard about the $20 bandit didn't you.
