When I go to see my friends just north of San Antone I go right by George's rodeo complex, the San Antonio Rose Palace, just 1/2 mile from where they live and when we play golf we can look up and see one of George's homes overlooking the whole area. Rick has met him and says he's just a regular guy, a real cowboy with a working ranch, etc. The "etc." includes about a hundred million dollars! One of my favorite GS songs is "Amarillo by Morning" - I think of it each time I drive from the SA airport up I-10...fortunately I don't have quite as far to drive as that cowboy in the song! The Hill Country is the best...I'd love to retire there.
