Just got a new cell phone, I'm finally out of the dark ages according to my 10 year old granddaughter. So I'm still trying to figure it out and was able to get an app downloaded. I was amazed at how easy that was. On my computer I went to Google Play Store and found a Scientific Calculator app that was free and hit download and it knew somehow to send it to my phone and seconds later there it was! I suppose setting up all that Google account/gmail stuff is what made that connection, but it any case it was remarkably easy.
Now I need to figure out what apps I need. The Scientific Calculator was a must. I need Tan and Cos and it even makes conversion from mm to inches a snap without having to go to my laptop and that is handy for gun stuff.
So, EXCLUDING GAMES, what apps do you find most useful and/or handy to have?
bar code scanner is always nice i like using mine, flashlight app that uses the led's for the camera, where's my droid - if you misplace your phone or have the volume turned off- text wheres my droid to you phone and it makes it ring (I am always laying my phone somewhere and forgetting it), Airpush detector - for finding malware on your phone, wifi analyzer for finding hotspots where ever you are, those are my big favorites
Apps on my iPhone (i know its different, but will have a version for both)
*Pocket Whip - makes a whip sound, fun for teasing friends that are whipped
*Kitco - I keep an eye on the metals market precious and base
*Your Personal Announcer - You can use this so you dont have to tell the truth
*TuneIn Radio - Get any radio station that streams on the internet around the world
*SoundHound - Get to know what song is playing
*GunApp - Lets you blast away with animated guns and not break any laws.
*The Onion - The best satire news sources EVER
Always looking for new apps that are unique or a good time waster.

thanks for the suggestions. can't get any of the flashlights to actually turn on the camera light yet, but maybe it's a non-supported phone, ZTE Fury. I like it otherwise.
How about any favorite for package tracking for all those guns and stuff we buy?
