I just love their possable explanation at the end... Officials Investigating Possible Water Plant Sabotage POSTED: 10:06 a.m. EDT October 3, 2003 UPDATED: 12:42 p.m. EDT October 3, 2003 Authorities are investigating alleged sabotage attempt at a Volusia County water treatment plant, according to a report. The water treatment plant provides drinking water for Daytona Beach, South Daytona and part of Daytona Beach Shores The Volusia County Health Department confirmed to the Orlando Sentinel Thursday that there was ongoing investigation into the Daytona Beach water treatment plant located on LPGA Boulevard. The Department of Environmental Protection is also reportedly investigating the complaint. The newspaper reported that a phone message to the Health Department alleged that wiring on a blower vent for a liquid chlorine storage tank had been reversed intentionally. That could have caused the build up of chlorine gas. However, it is possible that the blower may have been installed improperly two years ago. Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
