So apparently in China, some guy decided to pounce on the hood of some poor unsuspecting woman's car, start snarling and grunting, and then started bashing at her windshield ala the opening scene of Dawn of the Dead (2004)
The woman freaked out (understandably) and bailed out of her car screaming.
The man jumped off of her car tackled the victim and yup, you guessed it, started munching on her face. This is in broad daylight mind you in the middle of a crowded busy street.
A bunch of people tried to pull the man off of the victim to no avail. Several police officers arrived on scene and were able to stop the guy.
The woman was taken to the hospital and will need some major reconstructive surgery on her nose and lips which got torn/bit off.
The news is saying this was all caused by alcohol.
Human nature is a funny thing. When some dumbass does something and it gets big media attention, some jackarse just has to do it also. Shake the tree and the bad apples fall first it seems. A little acid in the washer fluid would have been funny.
I wonder just how detailed those toxicology reports are? Is it possible there is some new virus that rots the brain and causes this behavior?
The story I read about the first "zombie" said that lab results had been verified by an outside lab to confirm marijuana only in the "zombie"'s system. Doesn't guarantee that mistakes were not made but should in theory cut them down.

Cannabis did NOT cause him to do that. The ONLY reason that's the only thing that showed up is because they CAN'T detect bath salts. They haven't figured out a way to test for it. So obviously, it isn't going to show up on a test. Idiots.
Granted the weed could have given him the munchies while he was on bath salts...

That is entirely plausible but as I am not a toxicologist(is that what they are called? spell check didn't nix it so I am rolling with it) I can neither confirm nor deny the validity of their findings.
Gotta wonder, if they can't actually detect 'bath salt' with a toxicology exam then how can they verify the claims of what this drug supposedly does..?
Maybe what we have here is the beginning of a real 28 Days Later zombie outbreak.

It has begun. Buy ammo, food, and fuel while you still can. May be a good idea to stock up on wood for barricades and some edged/pointed weapons too.

There might be something wrong indeed, perhaps some of that radiation from Japan or some new trick of the Russkies perhaps. Maybe it's some of those new mind control experiments they're doing over there. You guys are forgetting random shooters, what makes someone just up and pop like that? And I'll lay odds if you look at the historical records there has been thousandfold increase in those after 1985 than from 1985 back. For all we know, it might be getting close to Armageddon and St. Micheal may have let the Devil loose on the world again already. I know you intellectual, scientifically inclined folks might not want to believe that, but your not believing it doesn't make it not so.

Reminds me of HIV/AIDS...at first, nobody wanted to believe in it...
then the emaciated corpses started showing up, but because it was just gay men, nobody cared...
then those who monkeyed about with prostitutes brought it home to their wives...
THEN the storm started...after almost 100,000 were dead.
Watch and see...either it gets nipped in the bud fast like an Ebola strain, or it'll break loose quite evilly...
either way, best to prepare for the worst...and pray for the best results while stocking up.
