Finally Rain In Tennessee:

After 3 weeks of 100+ degree heat, Lower Middle Tennessee finally got a good rain. It rained for about 2 hours today. For the past 4 days the news has been saying 30% chance, and yet another 30%, and still no rain, the day before yesterday 70% chance and no rain, yesterday 70% chance and no rain. Well today it finally hit for a couple of hours. The wind came up then the storm. Well all good things must come to an end. The sun is back out and it is gettin sticky hot again.
But there is good news, the news said that there just might be rain for about a week.
Thank God, my water bill is killin me tryin to keep the garden watered. This little town not only charges for water, but they charge by the gallon for sewage. No matter if it is outside use, or inside use. They go by what the meter says and charge a sewage rate. My last bill which I just paid, Water=31.54 and my sewage+40.14. I feel that the sewage should be a flat rate rather then a per gallon charge.

Thumbs up

Glad you got the badly needed rain in "Lower Middle Tennessee."

Yesterday, here in the Kansas city area, we finally had temps below the triple diget numbers. We saw upper 80's yesterday and around 91 Deg F today. That was a huge relief from all the damaging heat we've been living through for at least two weeks. We still haven't had any rain for several weeks.

Also, tomorrow we're supposed to see a high of 91....so I'm finally going fishing again. It made no sense to me to be at the lake last week with those scorching temps. The KC forecast for tomorrow predicts low winds...4-8 mph. Both predictions have got my fishing fever up high again.

We've had three days with rain here on the Sometimes Ranch in Okie land. I received .50, .10, and .006 inches in the last three days. I'll take what I can get. Guess it's asking too much for another rain tomorrow.

Sunday a week ago went to the river. I was catchin some small trout. I knew I wasn't gonna keep so I bent the barb down. They were so small that ya couldn't keep em if ya wanted to. The river is a constant 54 degrees. Feels great sittin in the river in your fold up chair castin a line in the water.

Two weeks ago I went to the lake to drown a few worms. Was doin the catch and release thing. But it was so hot that the fish were deep in the lake,

Bro Bob, I wish you an abundance of rain. You got 40 acres brother, when it starts pourin down you can run out naked in it. Just stay out of range of the game cameras. We would hate for you to make a mistake and accidentally post those pics LOL. Our computers would freeze, blow up, and we would all go blind LOL.

And not to mention the physiological damage that would have on the deer in your area LOL.

Did everyone get a nasty visual of that? I'm sorry guys, just got the visual and scared the hell outta myself LOL.

Catfish come into the shallows to feed at night. I've caught some monster Blue cats in less than 10 ft. of water at night.

Well I can't pee off the front porch due to there is a house directly across the street from me. But, I can pee off the deck in the back. When I go out there to pee I can see several little glowin eyes lookin at me. It's enough to almost give you a complex LOL. I'm just wonderin, are they animal, or alien?
