Talking Thought Tommy might get a kick out of this.

Subject: FW: Fw: Louisiana Health and Safety Alert

Due to the current high water, the Louisiana Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries is advising hunters, fishermen, hikers, and golfers to take extra precautions and keep alert for alligators in Calcasieu, Cameron, Jeff Davis, Terrebonne and Allen parishes.

They have advised people to wear noise-producing devices such as little bells on their clothing as to alert but not startle the alligators unexpectedly. They also advise the carrying of pepper spray in case of an encounter with an alligator. It is also a good idea to watch for fresh signs of alligator activity.

People should recognize the difference between small young alligator droppings and large adult alligator droppings. Young alligator droppings are smaller and contain fish bones and possibly bird feathers.

Adult alligator droppings have little bells in them and smell like

Pepper spray.

very funny i pack heat when i take my walk everyday.although them gators they do come up close to you the closest they get is about 3 to 4 feet away. i think they can smell the gun or death or see the future because they just sit there for a while and look at me then they go on thier way . i never had to shoot one yet (yet) .there's alway's a first time for everything .that's why i bring my gun with me on every walk.

but boy dey sho do like to eat dem dogs !!!! man dey can pull down a collie in about 2 seconds and you'll never see him again.

We've got a few gators where I duck hunt here in Texas. I've had to pepper a couple of them that get a little too close for comfort. I'm not too afraid of them, but I don't like them around the dogs. We've got one that pushes 13 feet.

We've got moose up here that will reduce a big-block Chevy to Tonkatoys in one minute, flat.
