That sure don't look like a shepherd to me...... Maybe it's because your car is in a ditch dang near upside down. The dog took the crash well..... He's a keeper, .......whatever he is.... LOL!

I changed my mind at the rescue. This little guy was an energetic explorer. He's pooped and passed out now. He's a blue heeler/ catahoula mix

So the little guy did not like the bath at all. Or the walk after he was dry. Let the learning for both of us begin

That is a handsome little dog dothedrew57!!! Keep your spirits (and vocal tone) happy while you bathe him and he'll soon be better at it.

What is the skin issue?

People at the rescue said it was an allergic reaction to fleas. Vet said it very well.might be and will run a test next week if he don't clear up. After the anti biotic today the little guy has just been passed out.

I have to give him another bath either Thursday or Friday. Gonna try a few things different. Poor guy was not happy with me tonight

Reading this thread makes me miss the black lab I had as a kid. When my mom and step dad went through their messy divorce we had to get rid of him. I will however always have the scar on my right cheek to remember that pup by. Congrats on your new friend

Ain't that the TRUTH! I grew up around animals of all kinds. Even had hunting beagles at one time for deer. The wife, though, she grew up in the Phillipines and either they were pretty feral, food, or both. She never ate dog that SHE knows of.

I have had a dog my whole life. When my old dog passed away in May it was heart breaking and the house has been empty. Little Ruger will never replace Max in my heart, but he sure has lifted my whole families spirits.

I just wanna do right by the little guy and get him all fixed up and have a loving, loyal friend for the next decade or so.

Great looking dog & name.
One of my Golden's was named Ruger.

PS. Dont let him get around the "new jewelry".
As it will make the lady very unhappy.
If you have to go looking for it, in the land mines in the yard!

The more things he has to chew on that belong only to him, the longer things that belong to you will continue to exist.
