It is so fitting that they return to their shipmates. Steve, your words are what's in my heart, and this has brought to mind all the fellows that I served with during my time in the Navy. At times they come to mind unbidden, and I hope they are well and loving life. As veterans, we understand just how precious are the years of living, because we surrendered so many of those years in service to our nation. Not to insult anyone, but only a veteran can truly taste the flavor of freedom and value the gift of life, as it is the veteran who sacrificed one for the other!

When I was younger age 12, I was fortunate enough to see the USS Arizona Memorial. What a spectacular sight. As a kid I read the names on the wall, and I wish now that I am older to return to see this memorial again. To me it is very solemn and holy place.

I would love to visit the memorial. Those guys were the generation of my Father and Uncles, and they had a lot to teach us who followed!
