Alabama Woman Defends Herself With A Pistol

The home invader is in the hospital, presumably under arrest. This Alabama woman showed why everyone who is competent and not a felon should have a gun. "When seconds count, the cops are only minutes away."

Smile Martha Lewis of Dora,

Cyrano: Sir, another good story. As traumatic as shooting another human; protecting oneself and family is paramount.
It is a shame the police came quickly, it takes time for a good bleed out. Crimnals should start taking note; family's are getting tired of these garbage pieces trying to take control.

Equally impressive is that she told her daughters to grab something to defend themselves with...and one chose a butcher knife while the other chose an ax.
I'm not sure what the floor plan of the house is, but being that they were upstairs, I'd have guessed the kitchen to be on the ground floor...
Which means they had these somewhere upstairs or in their bedrooms.
That's a badass family, right there.

It was a hard decision for her to shoot this guy im sure but like she said, it was a matter of when to shoot. Its something that your never prepared for but she was smart and reacted pretty sensible for something so traumatic to happen. Im glad it was a good ending for the family with no harm to them. The scum intruder was lucky that he is still alive

We all know he had probably watched and waited for the right moment, that wasn't it.

I kept a hatchet and a machete in my room when I was a kid. My parents thought I was paranoid, and always tried to convince me that I wouldn't need them. But they never did take them away.... so clearly I wasn't that paranoid.

The perp asks "Would you shoot me?"
He got his answer.
This scumbag was prepared to risk taking a bullet in order to do whatever it was he intended to do to that woman and her daughters. That should be taken into account at his sentencing.

Thumbs up

That is a excellent example of "Gun control"!

Glad this pretty Lady protected herself, & kids.

This part of the article upsets me.
WHY or how long, she has owned a gun, is nobody's business.

Lewis said she’s had the gun for about three years but only for protection purposes.

I'm glad this woman and her kids were prepared. God bless them and wipe away any mental anguish they may be dealing with after protecting themselves.

I let my wife and mother listen to the 911 call on the other post and they were both terrified. I then read this story to them and asked what was different. They are both more interested in Home defense now.

Thanks for posting
