Police Testing started!

Friday I passed the written test.
Saturday I passed the physical test.
The oral review board is Monday, the 27th.
I am currently filling out my background packet. They want to know about a lot of stuff!

NRAJOE, can I count on you for a good reference?

Lenny...in my background packet I had to list neighbors names and addresses for the last fifteen years. I was like, "Fifteen years....? I would have been 13 back then!" Heck I grew up in apartment complexes. I have no idea who lived next door to me or where they are now for that matter.

Man I'm about four hours from Brownsville.....much closer to Laredo. But I'll talk to my Chief. He was once Chief of Police for the Brownsville (Cameron County) Independent School District Police Dept, coincidentally. Or would you rather handle this one "off the record" LOL .

Thanks guys!

I am applying to Tempe, as Scottsdale has enacted a hiring freeze until the city can figure a way to get some more $. I have been told by many officers around here not to work for Scottsdale anyways. They say you die of boredom.

logansdad, almost the entire Phoenix valley carries Glock, including Scottsdale & Tempe.

Good luck, Lenny.

Maybe we can then tip a brew or two at the FOP someday.

BTW....are they still giving the Psych and polygraph tests?

I remember I had a Lieutenant and a Psych on my board and they were merciless. Of course they were trying to see what my breaking point was. Luckily, I held it despite some of the very, very personal stuff they were getting into.

But, that's another story all together.

Steer clear of those Mesa guys....they are in the hot seat now, ya know. And, maybe ya can get assigned near the University. On second thoughts, no......too many accusations come outta there, he he he he.

Good luck at the Academy. If you're not to tired, and have access, keep us posted on your progress.

Yes Dale they have the Psych and Poly. But I've heard they're a breeze compared to the review panel interview.

Thanks Dallas. I will try to keep my progress posted.

For now I have to get into good running condition. From what I hear we have to run a lot. Our last day of academy we have to run 9.5 miles...ugh...That makes me want to be a K-9 Officer...

The psych test is about a 600 question test that asks you the same questions over and over in different forms (If it is like anything I have had to do). They will ask you several times whether of not you like to sodomize small animals (seriously, there is supposedly a connection between bestiality and homicidal maniac)....just answer them truthfully.....and lie when you need to.

Thumbs up

Ok Lenny2...you've been on your good behavior for about one or two months now on G&G. Guess we could say that if they asked us to be a reference for you.

Now if the alter ego side of Lenny 2 shows up again I'll have to recind my reference for you and hand the interrogation squad some of your earlier posts. That could cause them to assign you to become their chief negotiator when speeders mouth off.
