First week of October I am boarding a plane to Australia I was meant to be going at the end of October but I had a last minute change in employers and won't be driving a tractor in the Australian harvest but will now be driving a combine harvester due to an offer to be trained in operating a combine which is what I realy wanted which will open more doors for harvest work for me as I will not be as restricted in what I am capable of operating. Will be driving a case 2388 axial flow. First two weeks will be helping get the combines ready for transport and harvest as well as learning the daily maintenance routines before I get in the field with it after 150 hours of training I also get a pay rise.
I will be checking in and keeping you guys up to date with my progress through the harvest and when I can I will try to take photos. I will try to get a thread going in the aussie and NZ section of the forum once I am over there as I will be taking a laptop and buying a prepay broadband usb modem when I am over there.

Those dang Kiwi's.
They not only get play with the BIG tractors.
But managed to get paid to do it too!
Are your ears burning?
I was just talking about you yesterday.
Was talking to a friend, about those Google earth pictures of the dairy farm.
Good luck to you Buddy.
Still have you guys, on my prayer list.
Actually my ears did itch a little Actually this will be the first BIG mach9ine I have ever got the opportunity to get to be trained to operate which will open more doors for employment for me in the future instead of being restricted to tractors only and could end me up harvesting in other countries including the USA too after a few season experience if everything works out well.

Look at the bright side of this opportunity.
When you get over to the good ol' USA..
You will finally have to learn how to drive correctly. , on the RIGHT side of the road!!

Griz I would probably keep going for the right hand side of the car thinking it is the drivers side where you guys have the drivers side on the left of the vehicle .
