Yup, the perp is lucky to be alive. Oh wait, he'll be going to prison as a pedophile. He'd be better off dead, from what I've heard.

Having worked in prisons I know that is true. pedophiles will tell you that they are in jail for anything but that.

The thing is, few on the inside know what they got busted for...if any...
The only way the other inmates find out is if it was national/local news, or if a CO tells 'em...

Or some one becomes a pen pal with another inmate.

The official name for that sort of thing is "vigilante justice." In the Navy and the Merchant Marine, we called it "lower deck justice," a term from the days of sail when the enlisted men lived below the main deck and officers on or above it.

Lower deck justice tends to be quick, sharp and permanent -- but seldom wrong in light of the facts of each case, because it takes a lot to anger unlicensed or enlisted men to the point they will act outside the regulations. But as a society, we can't allow it, because there are hotheads out there who mistake justice for license.

Aim for the head at close range. His body will be as a pillow for the baby when it hits the ground, the force of the blast knocking it backwards.

Or if not possible, take out a foot. Anything to prevent escape.
