Exclamation

Many probably got sent to our little Third World "friends".
We used to have a junkyard here that had a lot of military surplus stuff. They had piles of M151 MUTT frames and bodies, all rusting away.

I was told that they weren't "Street Legal" and couldn't be sold on the civilian market as surplus because of the inherent liability

well they were street legal but couldnt be driven on highways unless in a convoy due to their max speed being 50 mph. i see a few here on the street but they are not good on the highway.

they have a highway rollover factor that keeps the bulk of them from being out right sold. DRO rules say the stripped body/chassis be cut in quarters. some bid winners, will take it all back to the shop and put it all back together.

personally i always like the M-37 3/4 ton slow, but a tough, truck.

My thoughts exactly

Where I hunt it is pretty level ground, but a lighter vehicle with more clearance than my Tahoe would be great, and if I was to restore it I could use it in the July 4 parade!!
