Gun Appreciation Day - March on Denver Capitol

As many of you know, the first Gun Appreciation Day has been set for January 19th. The organizers want you to go out to your local gun range, gun store, gun show and show support for gun rights around the country. I think that this should be taken a step further and we should make it a march on each state capitol in the US.

To that end, to all people in the state of Colorado, I hereby invite you to join me at the gun rights march at the Denver Capitol Building on January 19th at 11AM.

I have created a public facebook invite for all those who wish to attend: https://www.facebook.com/events/444977625568975/

If you are a facebook member, please join the event and invite as many people as you can to the event. I will post some general guidelines for how I believe we should dress and act during the event.

Keep in mind, in the Denver city limits, it is illegal to open carry a firearm. To that end, I highly recommend against open carrying any firearms at this march. We cannot give fodder to the propaganda machine that we are facing.

Thank you for stressing that people be responsible. As we all know all to well 1000 good deeds will go ignored but a single misdeed will be leading news for days.

Dang. I'd go if I could. I hope you get a great well-behaved turnout. Don't be surprised if a few lib d-bags don't show up to heckle and cause trouble.

At the last 2 Tea Party ralies I attended, their was 1 idiot who would start out at the fringes of the crowd, wave a sign or 2 and mouth off. He would slowly advance into the crowd, getting more agressive until he finally get physical. He was rapidly removed by the police and told to stand at least 50' from the crowd. Didn't last long, so they arrestd him for disorderly conduct.

Next rally, he was back and louder than ever. He got arrested about twice as fast.

why is it always the libs at these demonstrations that cause a scene and whine and cry like a bunch of babies, but it's always the right wing nuts that get painted with these shootings?

I don't know. It'll just make it easier to pick them out when the shtf to make it a more target-rich environment. They'll be the first and loudest ones making demands.

Posting above indicates start time of 11 a.m., while facebook says 12 noon start time. I suggest having a consistent start time.

I originally selected 11am as "my" start time with the group of people I'm going with before I knew that the rally was as big as it was when others selected noon. Either way, everyone should be going to it. If you're a little early, all the better.
