Upgrading a CZ-52

NRAJOE will pee his pants at the thought of me freakishly converting a CZ-52, especially as the conversion almost costs as much as the pistol, but take comfort in how few of my ideas ever come to fruition.

There are threaded barrels out there for the CZ-52, and I wonder if an AR-15 or AK flash suppressor or muzzle brake would fit and work well. I'm told the CZ-52 has quite a flash and quite a buck (anything will compared to my Steyr), and I thought that might make it a more friendly gun to shoot.

I think I may have seen a pic out there of such a setup, but I can't remember where.

Talking

No, not at all, I am going to get another black one and get the fancy grips that cost as much as the gun from Hogue. Then a spring and competition firing pin, then maybe one of the barrels from FAC with the built in compensator. Thats the beauty of the CZ52...they are so cheap and plentiful you CAN play around with them!

Anyone know the thread size of the threaded barrels and which screw-on devices they match?

If tell me how to add pics, I'll show you mine I have customized. I know ther are a lot of people out there that say It's not right, but hey I top my Ruger with Zeiss, the scope is more expensive than the rifle, so why not on a handgun.

Thumbs up BRG3, have you read this site?

This site will give you about everything you need to know about the CZ52 pistol, and what's available in spare and custom parts.

http://makarov.com/cz52/index.html

The kick really isn't at all bad. Would you compensate a .40S&W?
Try one before you go too far overboard with mod ideas.

Those walnut grips are in my CZ52's future, as well as the trigger kit.

You can add pics by choosing the "post reply" option at the lower right. Add some text in the field, then at the bottom find "upload attachment" or something like that. Click on "Browse" and find the file on your computer. Then click ok and it should be attached. Post that message and voila, there should be a link to click on.

NRA joe, that package is currentally up for sale. It is a new CZ-52, not just a surplus old model. It comes with everything that is in the picture.
