The group of north Texas College Republicans at North Texas University that kicked off the affirmative action bake sale craze have moved on to an Equal Opportunity Carnival being held today, reports the North Texas Daily.
A bean bag toss is one of the main features. It is divided into three sets of rules -- a Pre-Affirmative Action Rule in which Caucasians are closest to the target followed by Asians, Hispanics and blacks, a second set called the Affirmative Action Rules in which the positions are reversed and a third set in which all participants will stand the same difference from the target.
Before it even began, some on campus were already complaining.
"I think that no matter what the event is, someone will find it offensive," said senior Abelardo Guillen, president of the organization Bailamos and member of the Association of Latin American Students.
irony is white people complaining about racism...another irony about hate is if you hate groups of people you ultimately find yourself becoming related to them..my mother hates Mexicans and her sister married a Mexican..she hates gays and her baby sister came out of the closet...until everybody realizes that there are worthless and noble human beings of every race and color they will continue to hate groups of people instead of one person at a time
