Talking Doglips vs VA....round 2million...we settle

2 trips accross the state...a va file thats 6" think...so many documents from so many people that I realize that I have absolutle documented every single problem in my life as well as every single person how has ever so much as shook my hand, much less provided any type of medical care too me. the VA said ok 80% but you better shut up and leave us alone or we will drag your case on for 5-6 more years and then abuse you.....so kinda setteled at gun point. Been a long way to go for 10%....was 70 got lowered to 60 now 70, 10, and 10% (=80 in va math)...so now I can relax have a cup of coffee and cross one goverment agency off the list of people Im batteling

That only leaves a few more federal, state and local agencies and Ill be down to only being on every watch/blackball list the federal goverment has Except ATF: I drink, smoke and have firearms so they like me

DL's...if I remember right, this suit was over eyesight??? Does that mean they think you blinder now than before? Go show them your used targets where you've been missing them lately. They'll surely boost it on up to 100%.

Congratulations bud!:cheer: :right:

Look man I got 60% and hardly put up a fight. I am sorry you had to go through this. I am trying to get my father in law bumped up for Agent Orange and it is a struggle.

I did however get the DAV involved and we got him up to 30% for 1 thing and we suspect he will get the other 70% for his kidney and Liver damage.

Glad to here the ordeal is over. What date did they back date you to???

the Disabled American Veterans is one hell of a great organization. i cannot stress enough to go to them with problems. bashed my head against the wall trying to take on the VA by myself. then i wised up. i got more than i even dreamed of, and gave them a hefty donation for their efforts.

those guys in the American Legion, VFW, and state run VA reps, though well meaning, haven't a clue. the DAV has their reps working "IN" the VA regional offices. after the umpteenth rejection, the DAV rep looked at my file and shook his head in disbelief. so instead of my claim sitting on some flunkies desk. the DAV rep walked mine through the appropriate channels, and in 6 months i got what was due me, plus some more. it was a 2 and a half year battle. first thing i did to celebrate was turn up the heat in the house!!!

and one last tip, keep your records, get copies of all records even remotely connected to your problem. keep all correspondence, theirs and yours. and never ever send your copies, xerox copies of what they want. never your originals or only copy. the VA have ways of losing things.

Ive heard nothing but good things about the DAV....I used the VFW and my rep was a joke...egotistical as a pig...did nothing...even at the hearing then pated himself on the back for an hour afterwards.

Jonkie I was at 70 with no real hassel....made the mistake of trying to get more....so got lowered now raised....back dated too 2001.
For your dad rember VA math is goofey....Easiest way to esplain it...
Take 100 pennies (thats your body)
Now that the largest disability rateing like mone is 70%....now take away 70 pennies.
Second rate is based on the REMAINING 30 pennies...so say your 2nt rateing is 30%.....30% or the 30 pennies (30% of 30%) is only 9% so remove 9 pennies and add that to the origianly removed 70 so 70+9=79 (above 5 round up)=80.
Add a 3rd disability..say 10%...that comes out of the remaining pennies (so 10% of 21%) =2.1% add to the previous total...=79+2.1=81.1 or (under 5% so round down) =80%

So with VA math 70%+30%+10%=80%........yepper get the K-Y jelly cause its gona hurt .....the pennies is the best example I found..some people use pizza....call the local service rep and they can also explain it.....appearently they wanted to prevent multable disabilites for = more that 100% but realy they just wanted to pork the vets.

Are you really interested in a Jennings .25ACP? If so, why?Somebody else mentioned one a while back, but I can't remember who (and didn't really want to admit owning one). I do have to admit, though, it is a really neat watch pocket piece.

Ws just jokeing about the Jennings 25acp (actualy the first pistol I purchased was a Jennings 22LR...still have it....got it for wife when I was in the Marines a long time ago).....ment as a joke because wifee poo has done spent most of the back pay....probly only have enough $$ left to get the jenning by the time the wife and 3 daughters get done shopping

Yeah, I thought you might be funning us abt that Jennings. I just wondered whether/why anyone else actually owned (or wanted) one. I got caught up in bidding frenzy at an auction a while back and came home with four new toys, the Jennings among them.

Sorry to hear of your trials and tribulations, but hang in there. Sometimes the good guys win...
