Yeah, if law was logical we'd all be a lot better off, but after seeing some cases in the last 12 months or so, I really don't think it's worth the hassle.

Also, now I know this isn't typical of all of Australia, but in northern and rural areas the only crooks that carry are organised crime types (bikies, drug farmers) and they aren't really going to be threatening you average joe.

This is the thing, use of reasonable force. It is hard to explain why a drugged out kid with a box cutter is lying in ya'lls living room with a couple of .44 slugs in him.

Yeah I guess I'm lucky I live where I do, I've never had to deal witha situation like this, and no one I know has either. I hope I never do.
