Picked up my Taurus 627 4" stainless steel...ported..7shot today...wifee poo and me went to the indoor range and pumped 150 rounds through it. The porting cuts down the recoil...but makes a lot of muzzle flash.....with Matec and Blazer 357 ammo the recoil ws just a hair more than my 45acp....with 38 spl ammo was like shooting a 32acp or 380acp...light and easy....shot from 15ft to 40 ft and the pistol rocks.....as long as I did not try to get cocky.....the thing shot great......paid $309 for it and I be happy. The pic is bad..for understanding the clothbackground is green....the gun is silver not gold |

When you've had it a while let us know how it holds up. I've been thinking about getting one in .45acp.
