| Senior Member ![]() | Poor Saddam The Minneapolis Star Tribune managed to find an expert on Islamic culture to tell its readers that the United States offended Muslims around the world when it released pictures of Saddam Hussein following his capture this weekend. Ahmed Samatar of Macalester College in Minnesota says the U.S. should have respected Saddam’s dignity. The images of him being examined were "offensive," "disgusting" and gave the appearance that the United States is "gloating," he said. For some reason, a man named Ziad Amra of the Minnesota Chapter of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, was allowed by the paper to use the release of the video to complain about Israel. "U.N. resolutions have to be enforced against Iraq, but not against Israel," Amra said. "The United States is in Iraq to bring democracy, but now it doesn't support holding elections. It's all about double standards, not Arab sensibilities." |

| Super Moderator ![]() ![]() | I like the picture of him getting his head checked for lice, similar to the way monkeys do in zoo's. He's caged at last. Put him on display for his accusers to confront first hand. He was quoted as saying he only killed enemies of the state, and traitors. What about those babies? And the women and children? And the people he used for target practice and entertainment? He deserves no mercy.:full: :insane: :right:
