PAST Recoil Sheild IS OUTSTANDING

Noticed some of you all talked about getting banged up by 30-06's and the like. I ordered aPAST Magnum Pluss Recoil sheild that arrived friday.....Took it to the range today.....65 shoots with the 458mag Sitting down at the bench....and the thing sucked up the recoil....made it more of a push spread over the whole sholder area....no bruises no problems....Cost $27 at Cheaper than Dirt (only ones who had the left handed one).......You wear the thing like a sholder holster...they sell diffrent levels of protection.....all about the same price..... It made the 458 feel like a 308 when I shot it....little more push than without it...but a lot softer push.........well worth the $$:assult:

I'll look in to them, too. Wonder if Cabelas has them? I only shot around 20 rounds in my 30-06 and ended up looking like I'd been in a car wreck.
Had an inexpensive recoil pad mounted and it seemed to work fine. However, I only shot it a couple of times when deer hunting. Got my deer and didn't get to shoot any more. Dang it!

I have used the PAST recoil shield on extensive wingshoots in Mexico and the PAST gloves shooting magnum handguns. They are worth every penny!

Hey Ox, Cabelas has them as does Midway and several others. I've also seen them in Bass Pro.

They have diffrent levels of protection....I have the Super Magnum pluss....I found Cheaper than Dirt was a little cheaper...but pays to shop around....

How does it effect shouldering and sighting of the gun, DL?

Dale the Super Mag adds 1 inch soit effects your scope eye relive....as for as sholderign it IT had no effect on me but I was sitting at a bench not tossing it up trying to wing shoot...the smaller pads only add 1/2 inch...the pad itself has a smoth cover so the rifle butt should not get hung up on it....OXFORD try one on when you go to the store...felt a little strange at first...like haveing a sholder holster on....The midway site has cutomers review of the item all gave it good reviews.
