Cool Okay, maybe you'll like this...UFOs

Saw this in the news, it ain't just me....and the other wack-Os........

Police Spot Daytime UFO Over Indiana
When three police officers say they have seen something--even if that something is a UFO in broad daylight--people sit up and pay attention. That's what is happening now in Huntington, Indiana where three policemen have reported seeing a strange object drift through the skies on Dec. 26 about 2:30 p.m., reports The Associated Press. There's just one problem with the story: No one else in town saw it.

In May 2003, three people driving at night in rural Georgia had a close encounter of the second kind. Click to read their spooky story--that some investigators are taking quite seriously.

The circular object that was the same size as a hot air balloon or a backyard trampoline was spotted first by Chip Olinger, who radioed officers Greg Hedrick and Randy Hoover. The three watched it move out of the northwest, drift toward a church steeple, then shoot straight north without a sound, reports AP. The UFO was so low in the sky that Olinger feared it would crash into the church steeple. The entire incident lasted less than one minute during which time it stopped a few times and spun around slowly. It even changed shapes and turned orange, although this may have been caused by reflected sunlight.

Are there aliens among us? Find out about recent sightings, learn about Area 51, and see what could be actual alien photos.

"It wasn't any kind of flying machine that I can think of," Olinger told The Herald-Press. "And it's not like a '50s flying saucer. It was that big, but it didn't have a hump in the middle." Here's the odd part: It was the middle of the afternoon on a bright, sunny day, and it appears that only these three saw the mystery object. No one else has reported it to the city, the county, or the state.

Take the paranormal trivia quiz and test your knowledge of the occult!

Lest folks think they were crazy, the three police officers didn't report it for a few days. Bob Scott at Fort Wayne's Smith Field told AP, "Other than Santa Claus heading home, I don't know what it could have been."

I don't find the idea of secret experimental aircraft very hard to believe. Flying saucer shaped aircraft have been done just fine for the public view, couldn't something better be going on in secret? Not a huge deal to me. Ya gotta test it somewhere. As long as you have a willing test subject and it doesn't cause property damage or infringe on anyone's rights those flying saucers are fine with me.

life in outer space. well i believe a man would be a fool to discount the possibility based soley on the thought "its just nuts" and he would be a fool to believe in them wholey without having seen one him self....space is awful big and it would be a terrible waste of space if god only put life on one planet. i for one hope they do find intelligent life out there someday.

Cool BattleRifleG3.....

You seem to be rather open minded. I've often wondered about those folks who may, or may not, be out there. Though it seems reasonable to assume (each star is a sun or galaxy, so they say) there would be other worlds with other folks. Seems like it could be, at least to me. Speaking of which, last night, Coast to coast radio had the Mars guy (Richard Hoaglan) on and he made an interesting comment. You may be aware of the book called "The Twelth Planet" by Zack Sitchen (Sp.?). The basic premis being we are the upgraded verson of man as upgrade gentically by some aliens ( I forget what they were called just now). Anyway, they were reported to be giants by our standards. Anyway, Hoaglan says they were Martians! Less gravity on Mars so folks grow bigger. When whatever happened to Mars happened, they booked here, to Earth. The folks already here saw them as Gods since they flew in ships and we really big guys plus, the were real smart and did God like things. What do you think of that idea? Just curios...
