Just got a call from the NRA

They played a little message from ole Wayne LaPierre saying Hillary and McCain were sponsering a bill to ban gun shows. Then they asked for more money to fight this. Well I am flat broke and can not reup my membership but I can write to my congressman and senators.
The lady was real nice but she was real pushy after about 5 "no I can't give you money", she finally got the hint.

Has anyone else got this call???

Not today, but I have gotten them before. Sometimes they're nice, but the NRA has kind of exasperated me with their constant pushes for more and more money above all else.

Wink 'Bout the same.

To me the NRA is about the same as the Republican party, they aren't perfect, but the're the best we have.I support them.

This is true. We will need all the help we can get. Never know which freedom the Bush Tribunal will come for next!

I got a call a few weeks ago from them wanting me to buy an autographed hard copy book from LaPierre. I forget the price but it was very expensive. I said no thank you. The guy would not stop. He wanted me to buy the paperback at less money. Actually wanted me to buy 5 of them. Again I said no thank you. He got to be so pushy that I had to hang up on him. I tried very hard to be nice but this guy was a jerk! I told him so before slamming down the phone.
I will still send them money..in fact I have 2 checks sitting on my table right now for the ILA and to renew membership but dang!! If they get this pushy again I may not renew. I try to send some when I can...dont call me at home wanting money too!!!

Not too many in the NRA, Papa, know Morris code anymore and probably aren't even sure if the telegraph wires are still up in Kentucky. LOL
