with all that has happened since 9-11-01. immigration, Homeland Security, the Patriot act I&II, and future intrusions. these topics have set of a hornets nest at times.
what is the solution, the one size fits all, that no one disagrees with???
I never thought I'd say this but racial profiling will be absolutly nessary to stop these terrorists.
To Tom Ridge, I can only say"IT"S THE RAG-HEADS STUPID!!!"
Investigating the bank accts, e-mails, & phone conversations of this WASP from Ohio isn't going to catch any terrorist. And mr. Ridge don't expect me to be stupid enough to believe your BS that it will.
Allowing 8-10 obviously middle eastern people to board a plane with out challenge and then pulling an eighty year-old grandmother out of line and strip searching her because she had a "GI Joe doll" for her grandson is ignorant in the extreme. If we're going to be that stupid then we become our own worst enemys just for the sake of political correctness.

Dave you mentioned only one attack that happened here. We can't control security in other countries.
I'll mention Reid because it is perfectly relevant. I'll also mention McVeigh. Both white males. Your system of racial profiling would not catch them. I'm not saying that racial profiling doesn't work. Look at El Al Airlines. Since they started profiling back in 1968, they have not been hijacked or bombed once.
But racial profiling here will give us a false sense of security. It won't catch the white guys that want to do some damage.

Just read my posts fully...thats all I ask... Its not like I post huge articles containing thousands of words.
Let me paraphrase and try to make it real simple: racial profiling has its uses, but it is not the end-all be-all security solution because we have white people willing to commit terrorism that would not be on the radar of a racial profiling system.
Correction There were two attacks on the WTC, 9/11 and the truck bomb in the basement garage. All the attacks I listed were on Americans and US property. I don't care what country there in! I say get rid of the ragheads and we can handle the loonie white guys as they come along. We're always going to have the loonies because nobody can identify them untill they do something bad/stupid/ignorant. But don't think for a minute that the raghead at the 7-11 isn't sending money back home that aids terrorist groups. Because many of them were celiberating on 9-11 and were too stupid to hide it.
I've always tried to be tollerant of all races, religions, or ethnic groups. It just seemed to be the proper way to conduct myself. 9/11/2001 changed that forever!

What about the thousands of "rag heads" serving in the US Military stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan, putting their life on the line every day for this country? Do you think those "rag heads" are sending money back home that aids terrorist groups?
